After several months of research and graphic design we’re happy to present you with our infographic The Future of Money: New Lenses of Wealth. It represents the aggregation of our research on emerging marketplaces, platforms, tools, initiatives and opportunities for the new economy.

The graphic underwent numerous iterations. The style for the graphic was based directly on the title design from the video and the design of the Open Innovation Certificate. The icons for creation, storage and access were designed using the isometric grid of the certificate. The categories and links to initiatives began as a huge messy mindmap, which then was refined into a list using piratepad, which then was printed out and shuffled around on a table as a paper prototype. The prototype was used to organize the final positioning of all the categories.

Jay has been keeping busy, having recently conducted a workshop for the Fraunhofer Institute at Open Design City on The Future of Waste Innovation.

KS12 is currently working on the identity and schedule for our new project The Future of Art which we’re preparing for Germany’s most significant media art festival, Transmediale. We’ll be announcing more details soon here on this blog. If you want to get a sneak preview of the questions we’re planning to ask our interview subjects, check out this list of Quora questions.

Keep your eye on Venessa’s blog Emergent by Design for news of her new project, The Future of … well, she hasn’t announced it yet officially. 😉

most delicious for the eyes and highly infectious and inspiring for the mind :) maybe embedding it on as well, for the wholeness of it? makes it easier to link people to one place with all the richness in it…
